I turned hardship into strength, and fear into a new beginning

My name is Zarghoona Sediqi. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Kabul University. With pride and dedication, I served for over 17 years as a prosecutor (Saranwal) in various key roles within Afghanistan’s legal system. Throughout my career, I performed my duties with honesty and commitment, earning trust and recognition along the way.

Unfortunately, due to the escalating security threats, I was forced to leave my beloved homeland. In 2023, I arrived in the United States on a legal visa, seeking safety, peace, and a new beginning.

One of the most significant challenges I faced in this new chapter of life was my limited English language skills. This not only affected my confidence but also hindered my ability to connect with others and adapt to my new environment. Despite these challenges, I was determined to overcome the language barrier. I began learning English from the beginner level and committed myself to improving day by day.

Today, I am proud to share that I have reached an advanced level. While I know that learning is a lifelong journey, I now speak with much greater confidence and ease. This progress has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am deeply grateful for the growth I’ve achieved — and for all those who supported me along the way.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers and the entire educational team behind this course. Joining this program has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I can confidently say that I have benefited greatly from this opportunity.

The teaching methods were clear, effective, and thoughtfully structured. Thanks to the patience, encouragement, and consistent support of our instructors, I was able not only to understand the lessons thoroughly but also to grow in motivation and self-confidence.

I have now reached the level of progress I once only hoped for — and this achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and guidance of our respected teachers. This course has been more than just an educational experience; it has been a source of inspiration, positivity, and lasting impact in my life.
